Youth Tennis –

Rose Park Tennis Center– no March update

Abilene Tennis Association–

Dear Friends:

We are gearing up for several tennis tournaments that will be hosted in Abilene in 2024 by the ATA. With your sponsorship we can make this a successful year for many young tennis players in the Abilene Community.

We awarded numerous scholarships to our schools, thanks to our generous sponsors. We also were able to safely host many of our tennis tournaments by implementing proper safety procedures enforced by USTA. These tournaments have such an important impact on our community’s economics.

With Sponsors such as you, it helps us to continue hosting these great events. This last year we also hosted an Adult Sectional Tournament and a L5 Adult Tournament. We had two different league teams qualify for the National Tournament. ATA gives each team $1,000 to help with travel expenses.

Your Sponsorship also helps us to continue to grant college scholarships and fund equipment to AISD and WISD and the

surrounding area schools tennis programs. It also is a huge contributor to our ATA junior tennis banquets in which it covers over 600 players and parents. Last year we helped each High School host their own tennis banquet with their middle schools. These 3 separate banquets were a huge success.

Your donation will enable ATA to continue to give to the community for programming for youth and adult tennis to enhance the programming and grow the game of tennis We hope that you will consider a sponsorship for this wonderful cause.

It’s almost that time of the year again! We are looking for a few high school students/adults to work in the concession stands and upstairs to keep score and run music. These are paid positions and multiple shifts are available.

Big Country Soccer Association –

Coaches and parents.

We have decided to make the decision to push the spring season back by 1 week due to coaches needing to complete background checks and safesport so that we can release contact sheets and rosters to them. The background checks are taking longer to come back this season than expected. We will now start the season on 3/2/24 and not this weekend to give those teams that are waiting on coaches to get started. With us using that weekend which was built in as a weather make up weekend if we have a weekend of weather cancellation we will make those up the second weekend of May. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate the patience while we work around all the request we have had from coaches. We now plan on having the schedule out later this so we can make the changes that are needed. Have a great weekend and we can’t wait to see you on the pitch.
