Youth Tennis  –

ISO RED BALL players! This is ages 4-8. They play matches that are to 7 points (not games, points).
Matches are from 3-3:45/4 on Sundays! Dates on flyer on Facebook. Cost is $45. I have a couple of sponsorships available if needed!
This is a great way to get started in tennis!!
For ages 7-10 sign up for orange ball! We have a great group started in that division 😍🎾😍🎾
CONGRATULATIONS !!!! The ladies 65 and over just won the National championship against Southern California!

It’s almost that time… Opening Day is around the corner and we are READY. 💜💛
If you’ve been wanting something comfy to throw on for chilly game nights, or something cute to match your favorite player… the merch store is officially open.
There are hoodies, long sleeves, short sleeves — even infant sizes (because tiny team spirit is undefeated).
You can choose pick-up at Kirby Softball Complex or have it shipped straight to your house.
We would love to see those stands full of families repping their teams on March 2 at 6:15 PM for Opening Day ceremonies!!!
It’s going to be an AWESOME season.

***Tryout Clarification***
– Saturday tryouts have been canceled.
– We encourage everyone to attend their designated tryouts on Thursday or Friday this week.
– We will have a make-up tryout date if needed, TBD.
– Reminder, tryouts are mandatory for league age 9-12 year olds (League age is the players age as of August 31st this year).
***9 & 10 yo tryouts Thursday, Jan. 29th at 6pm at ACU Women’s Softball Field
***11 & 12 yo tryouts Friday, Jan. 30th at 6pm at ACU Women’s Softball Field
Intermediate and Juniors tryouts have been moved to Tuesday, February 3rd at 6pm at the Wylie Little League Fields.
***The Intermediate and Juniors divisions are for league age 13 and up. This does not apply to players league age 9-12 (see post below for ages 9-12 tryout information).

Big Country Soccer Association –

🎉⚽ Congratulations to our friends at Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA) on the exciting kickoff of the Fall Soccer Season in the Big Country!
The season began tonight (Thursday) with our youngest players in the U4–U7 age groups, and this Saturday the excitement continues with the older age groups taking the fields at the brand-new ROC soccer complex.
The ROC is absolutely beautiful. It is already alive with the sights and sounds of youth soccer and the cheers of supportive families. 🙌
We encourage our community to keep sharing this positive energy all season long—for players, coaches, referees, and the hardworking AYSA organizers who make it possible.

🎉⚽ Congratulations to our friends at Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA) on the exciting kickoff of the Fall Soccer Season in the Big Country!
The season began tonight (Thursday) with our youngest players in the U4–U7 age groups, and this Saturday the excitement continues with the older age groups taking the fields at the brand-new ROC soccer complex.
The ROC is absolutely beautiful. It is already alive with the sights and sounds of youth soccer and the cheers of supportive families. 🙌
We encourage our community to keep sharing this positive energy all season long—for players, coaches, referees, and the hardworking AYSA organizers who make it possible.

Calling all doubles and singles players Abilene’s September verified UTR is here!!
– Singles will be played on Saturday (best 2/3 sets)
– Doubles will be played on Sunday (8-game pro set)
What is a verified UTR rating?
– Some players have UTR Ratings that feature a blue checkmark. That means the player has a Verified UTR Rating.
– Verified UTR Rating is what college coaches, tournament providers, and tennis analysts look at for recruiting, event entry, team line-ups, and player evaluations for high-level competition.
– Only results from verified third-party event providers and tournament directors, such as official high school matches or sanctioned adult leagues and tournaments, count towards a player’s Verified UTR Rating.
– Those events are heavily vetted to ensure the integrity of a player’s Verified UTR Rating. Scores from non-verified events do not count towards Verified UTR Rating.
Concerning extenuating situations for time-slots/match times, it is the obligation of each player to ensure they are available for their matches as assigned by the Tournament Director (TD). Requests to have alternate match times will be reviewed and honored at the TD’s discretion based on the tournament schedule and other factors they deem appropriate.
Additionally, to remain consistent with USTA’s regulation, there will be no coaching players by coaches, parents, family, friends, etc. unless it is between the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Hello Abilene Hockey family and friends! Hope everyone is having a great summer break, here is some info for our upcoming Fall 2025 season:
Online registration will open on August first, just follow the link to get started. https://abilenehockey.org/registrations
We will have in person Registrations on August 14th and 21st, you can meet us out at the rink in the evenings. We can help you get set up for the season if you are needing help with equipment.
Evals will be August 28th, times will be TBD on season registrations leading up to that date.
Practices and games will start in September, tentatively Mondays and Thursdays as of now; and run through November. We are hoping to be wrapped up before Thanksgiving, so we don’t interfere with family plans for the holidays.
