VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!

Northern Little League is seeking volunteers for the 2026 Little League West State Tournament, which will be held at the Lake Kirby Softball Fields July 8-12, 2026.

We have a variety of volunteer shifts available from 7:00am-10:00PM. Whether you can help for a few hours or an entire day, your support is greatly appreciated and helps make this tournament a success. Thank you for supporting Little League and our athletes! Volunteer Sign Up

WYLIE JUNIORS ALL-STAR TEAM WON SECTIONALS

They will be heading to the State Tournament in Abilene beginning July 8th. Go Wylie!

Jim Ned Little League –

We are especially proud of our tournament teams and the way they competed:

Juniors Team – 2nd Place in the County Tournament

Intermediate Team – 3rd Place in the County Tournament

10U All-Stars – 3rd Place in the District 5 Tournament

12U All-Stars and Machine Pitch All-Stars – Both made strong tournament runs and represented JNBA with heart and determination.

Abilene Northern LL–

CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND

Northern 10U Minor Softball played in the Championship Game in Waco against Midway on Monday, June 29th at 6pm. The team played hard but lost in the championship game. Super proud of their accomplishments this season, way to represent Abilene!

Wylie Fast Pitch Softball–

The Big Country was represented in every age division at the NM/WTX USSSA All-Star Tournament in Roswell, New Mexico this past weekend (June 26-28) — and every division advanced to the championship game. In one incredible moment, two Wylie teams even faced each other in the championship, guaranteeing a hometown title.

The Hearts BBQ Backpack Giveaway wants to give a huge THANK YOU to Abilene Hockey for their continued support, community outreach, and dedication to helping local kids and families!

As a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Abilene Hockey helps make opportunities like this possible by bringing the community together to support children and families across the Big Country. From helping provide school supplies and backpacks to creating opportunities for kids to learn and grow through hockey, their impact reaches far beyond the rink.

One of the most amazing things about Abilene Hockey is watching kids start out barely knowing how to skate — much less play hockey — and within a short period of time they’re skating, learning teamwork, building confidence, and scoring goals!

That’s the power of community. That’s the power of hockey.

Abilene Hockey will also be hosting their Summer Series and will be out at the Backpack Giveaway helping support families and kids as they get ready for the new school year!
