DESCRIPTION:ONLY 60 PLAYERS PERMITTED TO ATTEND THIS CAMP – NO EXCEPTIONS. Recommended for all Players SERIOUS about their game. Point Guard Elite Camp is the ultimate camp for player development. Point Guard Elite is more than just a basketball camp; it teaches students life lessons. Centered around the philosophy that truly great players make everyone around them better\, students will spend a grueling four days on the hardwood and in the classroom. Each day will incorporate intense workouts that will develop you as a player and as a leader in your program. Students also learn the importance of practicing with enthusiasm and promoting a positive work ethic and attitude within their program. Players will leave with the understanding of how to establish themselves as leaders in their current programs. Students are taught how to develop off-season workouts (so they work smart as well as hard). They learn how to beat quicker more athletic players to the basket and how to create for teammates. The importance of hard work is presented to them in all three learning domains (they hear it / they see it / they demonstrate it). Students will be put through game simulation situations which will allow them to incorporate learned concepts from the camp. Too often players make the game difficult. We will teach players how to slow the game down while playing at game speed which will lead to better decisions in the game. Coach Otter will take you through many of the drills he uses to build NBA and highly touted Division I players. Many players desire college scholarships and to play in the NBA. Coach Otter understands the commitment\, training\, and intensity these dreams require. He will personally show you and help you learn how to work harder and smarter than your competition and to allow you to be the best you can be on and off the court. \nPLAYERS AND PARENTS need to understand that this is considered one of the most intense camps in the country with long days on the court that require a great deal of commitment and discipline to complete the camp. This camp is designed for players 8th grade and up\, co-ed. College players are also welcome. DESCRIPTION:Jason Otter designed the Junior Elite camp for the serious young player to start familiarizing them with a more advanced curriculum at a younger age in a disciplined environment. Players will begin to start developing an understanding of how to maximize their game not just from an athletic perspective but also as a leader. Students will begin to build off of foundational concepts and expand into understanding what it takes from a personal and team aspect to succeed at the next level. Students will begin to understand our PGE motto “The only success is team success”. Students should leave the camp with a solid understanding of what it takes to play high level basketball as well as how to make everyone around them better on and off the court. WHO CAN ATTEND? OtterBasketball Junior Elite camp is co-ed and is open to incoming 4th through 7th grade players of all positions. This camp is not just for point guards. As the game changes\, all players must be more skilled and better leaders to begin to play above their athletic set. CURRICULUM: This camp is designed for the serious player that wants to be an elite high school player and beyond. Players will begin to develop an understanding of what it takes to play above their athletic set: (1) Learning how to properly move with the ball and without (defensively and offensively) (2) Introduction to the OtterBasketball shot development program (3) Begin to learn how to slow the game down and put themselves in positions that make the game easy (Pass/dribble/body alignment/defense) (4) Understand how to practice to not only make themselves better but develop an understanding of how to make everyone around them better. (5) Lessons on how to take their passion for basketball and transfer it to everything they do. Students will develop an understanding of how hard you must work and how disciplined you must be at a young age to have true success. They will learn to take advantage of their opportunities in the classroom as well on the court identifying all learning opportunities as they present themselves. They will develop a true understanding that mixing hard work with their passion leads to fun memorable experiences through the game of basketball. \nHotel accommodations are:\nTBA
